Shopping Centre News reported on the Pimpana City development a few weeks ago and as construction sped through the final stages, Gold Coast residents got their first glimpse of their brand new shopping centre. The developer’s Rix Developments put customers and convenience at the heart by designing a centre which locals have already fallen in love with. The centre has over 18,000m2 of retail space including Coles, Coles Express, ALDI and Best & Less.
The centre campaign ‘Shopping made easy’ met this promise – as customers found wider car parks, wider walk ways and oversized parents rooms and bathroom amenities – all on one level. It’s the simplicity together with its prime location on the Gold Coast’s growth corridor which will ensure the success of retailers in the centre.
The Pimpama region is located on the Gold Coast’s northern corridor and is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia and the fastest in Queensland. In 2011 the primary trade area had 4,758 persons, and as of 2016 the primary trade area sits at 18,983 with double digit growth expected for the next five years. This growth is unmatched by any other shopping centre in Australia.
