Frasers Property Australia (FPA) has appointed Mark Gleeson to the role of Executive General Manager – Capital Transactions. Gleeson has been part of the Frasers Property team for the past 15 years and has held his previous role of General Manager – Capital & Operations for the past five years.

Over the years, Gleeson has worked closely with Frasers Property’s residential, commercial, industrial and retail divisions and has been instrumental in managing large capital transactions, working with capital partners and establishing successful joint venture relationships.

Last year, Central Park Retail assets sold for $174.5 million

“Frasers Property has a strong platform of leading businesses in different sectors underpinned by talented people,” Gleeson says.

“In order to participate in large scale projects in the future, especially in a mixed-use capacity, it makes sense for us to leverage this platform and the breadth of sectoral skills our people have.”

Rod Fehring, Chief Executive Officer, Frasers Property Australia congratulated Gleeson on the new appointment.

“FPA has more opportunities on its plate than is sensible for us to fund strictly through our REIT platform or our balance sheet, so it is a natural and complementary extension for us to explore new capital partnerships and joint venture arrangements across our diversified property platform. Mark’s appointment provides us with greater structural flexibility to achieve the best balance between efficient use of capital and leveraging our operational capabilities in a variety of sectors,” Fehring says.

Gleeson and the capital transactions team will support both the Frasers Property Australia and Frasers Property Industrial businesses. Frasers Property Industrial is a multi-national owner, developer and manager of industrial and logistics properties in Australia and Europe, headed by Chief Executive Officer, Reini Otter.
