Australia’s first Birdies Mini Golf Bar launches in Melbourne this week, in the Dining and Entertainment Precinct on Level 3 at Forest Hill Chase shopping centre. It’s the first of 15 Birdies bars that will open around Australia, with bars in Sydney and Brisbane scheduled to open in early 2022.

The 18-hole course is a par-60, using professional putters and balls by golf partner TaylorMade, while the all-Australian bar features craft beers from 12 independent breweries, 65 gins from independent distillers and an all Victorian wine list.

With an urban, industrial vibe, the new 506m2 plus 50m2 mezzanine features hand-painted murals designed by students at Swinburne University, a state-of-the-art sound system and large screens to watch sporting events. Birdies has also formed partnerships with Adidas as their Official Clothing Partner as well as TaylorMade, as their Official Golf Partner which supplies the pro golf putters and balls for the challenging 18-hole mini-golf course.

Richard Devlin, Centre Manager, Forest Hill Chase said: “We are thrilled to welcome Birdies to our community and to be providing our locals with a great new leisure option. This exciting new concept is the first to open in Australia and our customers will be first to enjoy this unique retail experience.”

Tapping into the vibrant ‘brew hall’ experience, Birdies’ bar stocks an all-Australian line-up, showcasing some of the country’s leading craft brewers and independent wineries. The drinks menu complements its menu featuring quality local and Australian produce.

“Our challenging 18-hole course is suited to golf fans, corporates, first-time putters and families looking for unique, affordable entertainment,” says Stephanie Doyle, Director of Birdies Mini Golf Bars. “We are also committed to supporting local independent Australian businesses, which is why we’re so proud of our affordable menu and selection of Australian craft beers, wines and spirits.”

Available for parties, private and corporate events, Birdies Mini Golf Bar offers starter deals with a game of mini-golf and drink for $20, pints of beer are $11, espresso martinis and margaritas are $10, and wines are also $10 a glass.
