The countdown is on at Vicinity Centre’s Ellenbrook Central with Kmart fans ready to welcome the much-loved Aussie retailer as it opens its doors next month. As part of the exciting new $63 million development expansion of Ellenbrook Central, the discount department store will open from 8am on Thursday 16 July offering the local community ethically sourced products at the lowest possible prices every day.
Also opening new stores, the teams at Cutting Edge Butchers and Ellenbrook Fresh can’t wait to welcome back customers to their bigger shops which will offer an expanded range of fresh food. Saivon’s Hair is also opening a new salon.
Centre Manager Roisin McDonagh said, “We can’t wait to offer our customers more choice and convenience close to home and show our community how this new space celebrates what we love about Ellenbrook.”
With custom artwork inspired by the surrounding natural landscape, local artist Jack Brommel will be painting a bright mural live during opening week so customers can enjoy seeing the colourful artwork take shape.
“We’re growing with our local community and to support local businesses and groups we are thrilled to launch two exciting initiatives – a pop-up space and community hub which can both be booked now free of charge,” McDonagh added.
To help support local and emerging talent budding entrepreneurs, creatives and artists can book a complimentary pop-up space to showcase their products and engage directly with customers. A new complimentary hub space is also open for bookings seven days a week for local community groups and not for profits to host classes, workshops, meetings or performances.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, ten more new stores will follow, opening this Spring including Jim Kidd Sports, Dusk, Bare Skin and Beauty, Presotea, Nail’d It and Big Phone while Pow Wow Kitchen, Canton Bay and Sapporo Sushi will tempt the tastebuds.
