Elanor Investors Group has received Development Application (DA) approval for an ambitious mixed-use masterplan, set to rejuvenate the Tweed Heads CBD.
For decades, Tweed Mall has served the community’s everyday needs, and it is now poised to evolve into a dynamic, mixed-use town centre.
Since acquiring the centre in 2016, Elanor Investors Group has been meticulously planning this transformation.
Matt Healy, Elanor’s Head of Retail, Development & Mixed-Use said: “Our Masterplan embodies a forward-thinking vision to create a sustainable mixed-use town centre that meets the growing demand for housing and aligns with modern consumer preferences for integrated living, working, and leisure spaces. This vibrant triple supermarket anchored, integrated town centre will act as a gateway to Tweed Heads”.
This approved Masterplan is a pivotal opportunity to redefine the future of Tweed Heads, celebrating its rich diversity and history.
Strategically located at the gateway to the Tweed Heads CBD, adjacent to Jack Evans Boat Harbour, the new town centre will feature world-class retail, food and beverage outlets, commercial spaces, entertainment venues, tourism attractions, and residential developments.
The redevelopment will generate more than 550 construction jobs annually, with the project being delivered in stages over the next decade. Upon completion, the precinct will offer 1,371 much-needed additional dwellings and support over 3,000 ongoing jobs, significantly contributing to the local economy and community.
