Eastland Shopping Centre is set to be the new home of sports in Melbourne’s East, with its brand-new multi-level Athleisure Precinct being unveiled this June including the opening of sporting retail giant, JD Sports.

After years of planning, Eastland’s Athleisure Precinct titled ‘The Circuit’ will offer shoppers the convenience of the very best in sporting retailers in one convenient hub.

To celebrate the launch of the exciting new development, Eastland is holding two weeks of games and sporting entertainment in-centre for all shoppers to get involved in.

“After significant planning, we are incredibly proud to be unveiling ‘The Circuit’, the new home of sporting and fitness in Melbourne’s Eastern suburbs. The precinct offers visitors an easy and convenient location to access everything they need from a sports perspective – whether it’s a new kit for the kids’ weekend football game, or a new pair of sneakers for the gym. We’ve made it easier than ever before to tap into the very best athletic stores,” said Eastland General Manager, Greg Balmforth.

“The Eastland community is also excited to welcome JD Sports to the centre, as one of Australia’s largest sporting giants, in addition to Fast Times and Stateside Sports. We have already witnessed a huge amount of buzz and anticipation of the store’s opening from shoppers and retailers, and we know the store will be a fantastic addition to Eastland’s already thriving sports offering.”

Every Thursday-Sunday from 9th June until 19th June, Eastland will welcome shoppers to The Circuit, testing themselves in interactive activity zones, including a boxing station, basketball shootout and more. The event, named Race Into The Circuit, offers shoppers a chance to win a share of $80k in prizes including gift cards from Eastland, JD Sports, Rebel Sports, Stateside Sports and more.

In addition, anyone who buys a new pair of sneakers or sporting shoes in-centre can have their shoes customised by talented local artists. The artists, stationed at Eastland for the entire two-weeks, will use stencils to create the perfect design for each eligible shopper.

Only a 30-minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD, Eastland’s Race into The Circuit Campaign will run from 4-8pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 11am-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays from 9th-19th June 2022.
