David Jones last week opened its doors to a new store at Westfield Carindale in Brisbane – it’s the first store to feature the retailer’s new generation store design and beauty concept. Unveiled by David Jones General Manager of Store Operations Ben Webster and Regional Manager Rowena Derksen, the 5,000m2 store anchors Scentre Group’s Westfield Carindale with full category department store offering.

Emphasising in-store experience, the new store concept nods to the heritage of the 180 year old department store with a considered layout encouraging an immersive curated shopping experience across the best of local and international brands while delivering seamless integration with David Jones’ online offering.

David Jones Retail Director, Aaron Faraguna said, “We’re absolutely delighted to be bringing a truly innovative new David Jones experience to our customers. We are thrilled to be bringing this new store concept to Brisbane so that our local customers can experience the very best of David Jones brands and instore services.”

The reimagined David Jones Carindale delivers a full category offer of fashion, beauty, and home across one floor with the David Jones Café at its entry serving breakfast and lunch from a seasonal menu, offering certified organic coffee roasted exclusively for David Jones by Sensory Lab.

Central to the innovative new design is a reconceptualised beauty offering, the first of its format across David Jones locations.

Anchored by a communal ‘dabble bar’, the beauty offering at David Jones Carindale is a truly brand agnostic space to experiment and play with some of the world’s most highly sought after beauty brands.
