AMP Capital managed Dapto Mall has recently completed an exciting $4.5 million refurbishment building on the design theme ‘Bringing the outdoors within’. The refurbishment has transformed the upper level of the centre, positioning it to cater to the growing customer base which includes the growth suburbs of West Dapto. The surrounding area is expected to reach 120,510 by 2031.*
Dapto Mall is a sub-regional shopping centre located in the Illawarra region approximately 10kms from the Wollongong CBD. It’s a well-presented, refurbished centre in the heart of Dapto’s tight-knit community.
Following extensive customer research, the centre and its customers have welcomed an upgrade to level one including new food court dining, a interactive kids play area, lush internal landscape design and a bespoke Diemme designed and constructed sculpture. With a nod to the surrounding countryside and Illawarra escarpment, the colours and décor reflect nature with greenery, earthy and natural tones. The level one entry and external ramps also received a refresh, adding to the customer experience.

The strong fresh food offer includes Bush’s Meats, Baker’s Delight and Fish Feast and the newly updated food court and the new Kids Play zone provide customers with dedicated places to meet and socialise.
With easily accessible, undercover parking, Dapto Mall continues to surprise and delight the local families, seniors and commuters who visit the centre several times per week.
The centre, owned by Unisuper and managed by AMP Capital has a has a GLA of more than 20,000m2 and is ranked in SCN‘s Little Guns. Its last extensive development was completed in October 2007.
