Commercial property agency, Cygnet West, has been appointed to manage Centuria Capital Group’s Halls Head Central shopping centre.
Centuria recently acquired the $70 million sub-regional retail asset from Vicinity and ISPT, and Cynet West will commence managing and leasing the property in early July 2024.
Cygnet West Chief Executive Officer, Imran Mohiuddin, said the agency was delighted to be appointed to the landmark shopping centre.
“The addition of Halls Head Central to our management portfolio is a significant milestone for Cygnet West and builds on our successful management,” Mohiuddin said.
“We’re honoured by the trust Centuria has placed in us to oversee its retail assets in WA, and we’re committed to delivering exceptional results for both the centre and its tenants.”
Cygnet West Head of Retail Leasing and Sales, Ahmad Ibrahimi, said he expected leasing enquiries to be robust going forward for the centre, underpinned by strong growth in the surrounding residential catchment area.
“The trade area is experiencing a gradual shift to a younger demographic as more people move south into new growth corridors,” Ibrahimi said. “This brings a lot of opportunities from a leasing perspective, as we look to align the centre to cater to a diverse variety of customer segments.”
Ibrahimi said demand was particularly strong from prospective hospitality and food and beverage tenants, as well as allied health services, sporting goods and footwear retailers.
“Over the past 12 months we have negotiated more than 56,000m2 of retail leases across WA and we are confident that with our deep resources and significant retail market penetration, we will be able to cement Halls Head Central as the go-to retail centre for residents and visitors to Mandurah,” he said.
