Lendlease has announced that the grand opening of its $45 million stage three extension of CS Square Shopping Centre in Caroline Springs will take place on Thursday 4 April. Upon opening, customers will enjoy 6,500m2 of additional retail space including a Woolworths supermarket – supported by over 10 additional specialty stores such as Priceline, The Jolly Miller Café, Williams Shoes and Spectacle Hub. The Reject Shop will re-open in the Centre with a brand-new format.
Customers will benefit from a car wash in the eastern car park and an additional 240 car parks, bringing the total number of parking spaces to 1,175.
“We’re looking forward to unveiling the CS Square expansion to our customers, providing them with more retail options and greater convenience while helping to generate jobs for the local area.” said Rod Kennedy, Centre Manager
To celebrate the opening, CS Square will host free events, providing giveaways and special retail offers from 4 to 7 April. Works already completed include upgrades to parenting facilities, internal lighting, landscaping and improvements to the centre’s general amenity. Other works to be completed this year include a new children’s play area and car wash.
“With the addition of Woolworths and Priceline, plus services like dental and optometry, we have strengthened our position as one of the leading shopping destinations within the Melton area.” Kennedy said
More than 2,500 solar panels have been installed to power the Centre’s common areas, generating enough electricity to power approximately 110 homes.
In February, the development achieved a 4 star green star Design & As Built rating based on the Centre’s sustainability performance across energy and water efficiencies, design, liveability, environmental quality and innovation.
