Lendlease today announced its stage three extension of Caroline Springs Square shopping centre, better known as CS Square, in the suburb of Caroline Springs in Melbourne’s west, is on track to open in April 2019. Once completed, the $45 million redevelopment will provide an additional 6,500m2 of retail including a Woolworths supermarket supported by up to ten additional specialty stores. Customers will benefit from a car wash in the eastern car park and an additional 230 car parks, bringing the total number of parking spaces to 1,170.

Works underway include upgrades to the northern car park, half of which has opened in time for Christmas, upgrades to amenities including new parents room and upgraded disabled facilities.

Rod Kennedy, Centre Manager, CS Square Shopping Centre said “With works on track for completion in April next year, it will also help strengthen our position as one of the leading shopping destinations within the Melton area.”

As many landlords are focused on renewable energy, more than 2,500 solar panels have been installed to power all common areas of the centre, generating enough electricity to power approximately 110 homes.

Lendlease has an outstanding track record in retail delivery and sustainability and have designed, project managed and constructed the project. Their experience in managing construction works in live retail environments has enabled CS Square to continue to trade and operate safely during expansion.

CS Square is owned by the Lendlease managed Australian Prime Property Fund Retail (APPF Retail).

Located in Caroline Springs, CS Square has served the Melton community since 2004. The Centre features approximately 60 quality stores including major retailers Target, Coles, Aldi, First Choice Liquor and The Reject Shop.
