Property developer, Crown Group has appointed retail and commercial property specialist, Nicholas Ivanov to the role of General Manager – Leasing and Asset Management to oversee the leasing and management of all its retail, industrial and commercial assets.
A seasoned professional, Ivanov is a highly energetic and motivated leader skilled in strategy, negotiation, budgeting, business planning, operational management and advertising.
Ivanov has worked with some of Australia’s largest shopping centre companies having held senior positions with Scentre Group, AMP Capital and Lendlease. He was also employed as Head of Retail / Commercial and Asset Operations for Meriton Group completing the development retail strategy across several award-winning mixed-use developments.
Ivanov will oversee all leasing and asset management, focusing primarily on the company’s Mastery by Crown Group project in Waterloo which will offer Sydney’s first Japanese-themed precinct with its own 27-venue Japanese village.
In addition to retail, he is also appointed to manage the company’s industrial sites in Five Dock, Strathfield (both in Sydney) and Brisbane.
Crown Group’s Chair and Group CEO, Iwan Sunito said Ivanov’s appointment is a significant new senior appointment to the team as Crown Group prepares to undertake a major expansion of its retail offering.
“Nicholas will bring his extensive depth of experience and expertise in the property industry to oversee and manage this expansion,” Sunito said.
“Nicholas has the experience from ‘ground up’ development and the track record of managing and growing relationships with tenants.
“Nicholas’ mandate is to bring to market Sydney’s first curated Japanese village at Mastery in Waterloo. Construction is progressing well with the piling, ground works and basement nearing completion. He’ll also bring to market the southern phase of The Grand Eastlakes which will feature a library knowledge centre and co-working space.”
