Charter Hall Group has appointed Anastasia Clarke as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), following the resignation of Russell Proutt.
Clarke takes on the role, as well as joining the Charter Hall Executive Committee, having recently announced her resignation as CFO at GPT Group.
Commenting on the appointment, Charter Hall’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, David Harrison said: “We welcome Anastasia to Charter Hall as Group CFO and to our deeply experienced Executive Committee. With a long history of 25 years within the property industry holding positions at Lendlease, Dexus and most recently GPT, we look forward to Anastasia joining our Group and adding considerable value in her new role.”
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of GPT, Bob Johnston, said: “Anastasia has made an outstanding contribution to GPT having served as the Group’s CFO for the last eight years. She leaves a strong legacy and we wish her well in her future role.”
Clarke has a deep understanding of all aspects of real estate, including listed corporations, funds management, investment, asset management, development and construction, that supports this appointment.
Clarke is a current Board Director of the Property Council of Australia and a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW). She was previously a member of the Western Sydney University Audit & Risk Committee. Ms Clarke holds a Bachelor of Accounting with Distinction from the University of Technology, Sydney and completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Programme. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (FCPA).
Clarke will commence with Charter Hall on 1 February 2024.
