Casuarina Square celebrates the opening of its new $8.7-million indoor food court with a One Day Shopping Festival

Inspired by the natural environment surrounding Darwin, the new food court includes an upgraded meeting and dining space with timber features and new furniture, a kids’ play area, a feature artwork and a large-format digital screen.

“The refreshed indoor food court provides customers with more options and will enhance Casuarina Square as Darwin’s leading destination for food and entertainment,” said Casuarina Square Centre Manager Mardi Ashkine.

To match the landscape of Darwin, lush greenery has been introduced to bring the space to life. Suspended above the food court is the feature artwork, Canopy, by artist Catriona Stanton, which draws inspiration from the local environment.

The opening of the refreshed indoor food court builds on the success of the alfresco dining and entertainment precinct, The Quarter, which opened in July 2016.
