On Saturday 26 October, Canberra Outlet centre opened the doors to its Premium Mall, in time for the fast-approaching Christmas season, and with it, the city’s only access to outlet versions of favourite high-end fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Oroton and Swarovski in the new, architecturally designed precinct.

The centre, home to a range of fashion, homewares and furniture stores is Canberra’s only outlet centre and is located in the eastern suburb of Fyshwick.

“In the past, Canberrans were forced to travel interstate to cities like Sydney and Melbourne to find premium brands for affordable prices. That’s what drove us to bring these luxury designer outlet stores to Canberra. We wanted to make shopping more accessible by bringing the stores to our city’s doorstep, removing the need to travel elsewhere”, says Graham Terry, Managing Director of RetPro.

In celebration of the milestone opening, Canberra Outlet will be activating the Premium Mall across two opening weekends. The opening commenced on Saturday 26 October with Tommy Hilfiger, Oroton, Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Tailored opening their new stores.

The grand opening celebrations will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November, with Ralph Lauren and the only UGG store in Canberra opening their doors.

Closer to Christmas, Swarovski is set to open their doors in the new mall. It will be one of only three outlet versions of the premium crystal brand in the country.

“We’re treating the first 100 shoppers with VIP access to our lucky-dip wall containing centre gift vouchers ranging from $10 through to $200,” says Jodee Marques, Canberra Outlet Centre Manager.

“There will also be some unbelievable opening offers from the stores including up to 70% off storewide at Tommy Hilfiger and a double VIP 20% off offer at Calvin Klein”, Marques said.

“On the second exciting weekend, we’ll be celebrating with more activations and complementary sweet treats,” says Marques. “Additionally shoppers who make a purchase in any of our Premium Mall stores over the weekend will have the opportunity to play-to-win an abundance of store and centre vouchers and gift cards,” she explains.
