Camberwell Place, owned by ISPT, is a boutique shopping centre located on Burke Road, in the heart of Camberwell in Melbourne. The centre is anchored by Coles, JB Hi-Fi and 30 specialty stores. Camberwell Place last weekend delivered a sweet new look insta-worthy ‘Candy Place’ pop-up to celebrate the opening of Camberwell’s new food and dining precinct.
A pop-up featuring delicious free treats from Licked by Ray Ray, Sweet Mickie, Lux Bite and Sweetie Darling was activated to launch the new-look Camberwell Place (formerly The Well).
Dubbed ‘Candy Place’, the space has been designed as a sweet wonderland, with kids (and kidults) allowed to choose from an array of bespoke desserts found on shelves high and low in the custom pop-up.
Camberwell Place has just completed stage one of its redevelopment, which includes a dining precinct that brings St Giles Wine Bar, Cone Heads, Thai Thani, Sushi Pier, Just Italy, Yum Yami and Rebel Donuts to Camberwellians.
Stage two of the development will be completed later in 2019, and will introduce a new laneway dining area to the access lane from Burke Road.
The new food and dining precinct will be a central lifestyle hub for Camberwell locals, adding even more food and beverage options to the district known for its cafes and Sunday Market.
“Having grown up in the area since I was young, it was always hard to find an intimate yet informal space that provided great dining and service,” says Sean Cheshire of St Giles Wine Bar,
“Since the dry area laws have changed, St Giles can now provide residents of Camberwell a bar and dining option they would normally have to have travelled to the CBD, Richmond or St Kilda for.” he continued
