British fashion house Burberry has opened its new store in Vicinity’s QueensPlaza, Brisbane – the first store in Australia to encapsulate Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci’s new creative vision for the fashion house. The new store takes inspiration from the spirit and attitude of its iconic Regent Street store in London and the creative codes introduced by Riccardo.
Unveiling a colour palette of beige, white and pistachio, the store features fixtures and plinths constructed in a variety of materials and textures, from plywood to mirrored and high-gloss finishes.
The QueensPlaza store features the Autumn/Winter 2020 Pre-Collection, which continues to focus on Burberry’s new identity – reinforcing pieces and prints from the Burberry archive with a sense of freedom and vibrancy.
The store is one of two exclusive locations in Australia to house the TB Summer Monogram collection, which includes a variety of lightweight pieces in bold new colourways, featuring hoodies, polos and T-shirts as well as satin slip dresses and silk trousers for women, and swimwear for men.
QueensPlaza will be one of the limited Burberry stores globally to sell the exclusive TB Summer Monogram surfboards in graphite and azure blue.
With this latest opening QueensPlaza now boasts 11 luxury boutiques from the world’s most iconic designers demonstrating Vicinity’s partnerships with luxury retailers. Despite the downturn in tourism, luxury retailers still are attracted to the buoyant Australian CBDs.
QueensPlaza dubbed Brisbane’s home of luxury offers includes Fendi, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bvlgari from Italy, Chanel, Chanel Fragrance and Beauty, Dior, Louis Vuitton and Saint Laurent from France, Georg Jensen from Denmark, Tiffany and Co. from the US and Burberry from the UK.
