The brand new Dunsborough Marketplace development is set to open on Wednesday 22nd May 2024. The new 4,700m2 shopping centre is located on the bustling Dunn Bay Road in Dunsborough and will offer a premium shopping experience with a focus on fresh food and fashion from some of WA’s best local brands.
Dunsborough Marketplace has been developed by WA-owned family company Erceg Management, and has been constructed by Spyda Construction.
Having experience in developing and managing neighbourhood shopping centres for more than 40 years, Erceg Management own and manage a portfolio of eight metro and regional shopping centres across WA.
Allan Erceg, Director of Erceg Management, said: “At Erceg Management, we pride ourselves on our ability to understand local neighbourhoods and deliver premium assets that meet the needs of the community, as well as providing a premium space for our retailers. We’re pleased to be able to deliver this fresh, new shopping experience in the vibrant heart of Dunsborough, that is tailored to the local area, meeting the needs of residents and visitors alike, now and into the future.”
The new centre will be anchored by a Woolworths supermarket that will incorporate curated local lines of groceries from produce to preserves. Joining the brand-new supermarket will be six thoughtfully curated boutique specialty stores including Hara Sushi, Picnic & Hobbs, Gazman, Coastal Kids and Mano Wraps.
Woolworths will be opening its doors on Wednesday 22nd May, and the specialty stores will be opening in the coming months.
Customers will have ample parking with more than 200 car spaces around the centre, as well as new state-of-the-art amenities.
Two stunning large-scale public artworks adorn the sides of the brand-new building.
To the West, local artist Ian Mutch has conveyed the feeling of being surrounded by crystal clear waters and the beauty of how the bush meets the bay near Dunsborough. The mural features the uplifting flight of several Terns, a beautiful bird species which can be spotted on nearby shores.
To the East, ‘Ngari dreaming’ (Salmon dreaming), by Indigenous artist Josh Whiteland of Koomal Dreaming can be seen highlighting a story about the salmon migrating for Bunuru season, bringing all the noongar moort families to the coast to celebrate. Symbols in the ngari salmon depict local songs, fire, food and families gathering.
A unique addition to the Dunsborough Marketplace development, are the four boutique rooftop apartments that will be available for bookings from the end of June. These two-bedroom short stay apartments offer a premium accommodation experience in the heart of Dunsborough.
The project has created dozens of local jobs during construction, and the centre will continue to back local employment with more retail, hospitality and customer service jobs supported following the opening.
