In time for the peak Chinese New Year tourist season, Birkenhead Point Brand Outlet has launched a brand-new Guest Services Lounge as a complimentary space for visitors to relax and recharge whilst visiting the centre.  Located on Level 2 of the premium precinct next to Polo Ralph Lauren this new service is in a prominent easy-to-find location.

The new lounge provides the ideal place for customers to relax whilst in the midst of shopping with dedicated guest services staff and lounge services including light drink refreshments, charging pods, local and international papers and magazines, free wi-fi, information on the centre’s award-winning Shopper Hopper ferry service as well as other centre amenities and storage facilities.

State-of-the-art amenities

The space is architecturally designed to complement the premium spaces offered within the centre. The interior design has taken inspiration from the heritage look and feel of the centre and the blue tones of Sydney Harbour which the centre backs on to. The furniture was chosen to complement these characteristics whilst keeping the space light and comfortable.  The new services aim to further enhance the shopping experience for Birkenhead Point shoppers.  The air-conditioned lounge will be open to all visitors to the centre.

Since acquiring Birkenhead Point in late 2014 the centre has focused on increasing tourism visitation.

2018 was a huge year for Birkenhead Point, with various ‘first’ announcements and an invigorated tourism focus.  Birkenhead Point received finalist recognition in the SCCA Marketing Awards, along with a Bronze award in the NSW Tourism Awards for ‘Specialised Tourism Services’.

The centre was also the first Retail shopping centre to partner with Ctrip, China’s largest online travel agency, with an ongoing partnership to reward customers who are spending in centre.

By mid-2019, the centre will have completed the full refurbishment of the car park which will see the introduction of a ticketless parking and parking guidance system along with a new slip lane on Roseby street to ease congestion.  As part of these works Birkenhead Point are also introducing a dual bus-terminus which will be located directly outside the new premium precinct on Roseby Street.

Visitor Passport

Birkenhead Point’s Centre Manager, Karen Thompson, said, “We’re so excited to continue our focus on offering a premium outlet shopping experience on Sydney’s harbour, both on land and on the water; for those who use the centre as their local go-to, as well as those who travel to us from much further afield!”

Earlier this year, Birkenhead Point unveiled its fully serviced 201-berth marina with lavish new member facilities, world-class suites, full service refuelling, five star club lounge and integrated kitchen. These additions ensured the marina was awarded the highest possible accreditation under the Global Gold Anchor Scheme with 5-gold anchor platinum status. This is the first marina in Sydney Harbour to achieve this status.  With only seven marinas across the world now holding the coveted title, it recognises the marinas abundance of luxury, unrivalled location on Sydney Harbour and its world-class members facilities.
