ALDI Australia will open its latest Perth store at Ocean Keys – a sub regional shopping centre located in the northern coastal suburb of Clarkson, approximately 35 kilometres from the Perth CBD.
Expected to open in the first quarter of 2022, the 1,775m2 store will occupy the former Kmart site on the western side of the centre.
Ocean Keys Shopping Centre Manager Sandi Swan said ALDI will be a welcome addition to the range of specialty retailers already on offer.
“We know our customers value price and discounts, so we anticipate huge interest when the doors open early in the new year,” Swan said.
“This is an exciting time of expansion for Ocean Keys Shopping Centre with a number of additional larger format retailers expected to come on board for the remaining 3,600m2 within the old Kmart site.
“We will be celebrating the opening of ALDI in the new year with a program of family friendly activities – so watch this space.”
The Ocean Keys main trade area is comprised of traditional families in their early life stages, who are attracted by the affordability and accessibility of the residential development throughout the region, coupled with its attractive coastal environment.
Caroline MacPhail, Managing Director of ALDI Western Australia said, “We offer a supermarket experience that is like no other in Australia and we are proud to call ourselves “Good Different”. It’s our differences such as having never offered single-use plastic bags, utilising a coin deposit system for our trolleys and our tight product range that allow us to bring unbeatable value to our customers every day.”
Trading hours will be 8.30am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm on Saturdays and 11am to 5pm on Sundays.
Ocean Keys opened in June 2001 and is a well established brand in the local community. The centre completed a $108 million development taking the centre to 37,200m2 GLA in 2014. The centre is owned and managed by AMP Capital.
