Westfield Parramatta has opened its revitalised $33 million fresh food precinct with retailers welcoming customers from today, just in time for the festive season.

The redeveloped 7,000m2 precinct on level 5 is anchored by a full-line Coles with Liquorland, a brand-new ALDI, and an expansive 750m2 Asian supermarket and grocer Tong Li. Specialty retailers include fishmonger ZAG Seafood, poultry butcher JC Chicken and bakery Breadtop.

Alongside the new fresh food retailers, customers can grab a quick bite to eat at oOh! Sushi and Two Deers Café, offering convenience on the go and a new place to connect with family and friends.

To celebrate the launch, Westfield Parramatta hosted a range of festivities including live music and roaming entertainment, workshops, sampling, and a range of spend-and-get daily giveaways.

Westfield Parramatta Centre Manager, Leanne Tompkins said: “We’re excited to welcome the community to the new fresh food precinct at Westfield Parramatta, broadening our offering to become a convenient destination with our new mix of fresh food and casual dining retailers.

“We invite our customers to join us in celebrating the opening from today until Sunday 4 December by making the most of the live entertainment, family-friendly activity, and giveaways in-centre. They can also check out the festive events and activities happening in centre, including Santa photography and Christmas workshops.”

The precinct has been curated to the community’s wants and needs featuring a mix of both fresh food and catering retailers with premium design characteristics and bespoke artwork.

Commissioned artwork brings vibrancy to the new space, including a skylight mural from Konstantina (Kate Constantine) and Georgia Hill, which has been created in celebration and in respect to the Dharug First Peoples of Parramatta (Burramatta/ Wallamatta). Artwork from Yuwaalaraay woman Lucy Simpson and colour muralist Meg Minkley, also adorns the precinct as you enter the newly located entrance from the now reopened level 6 carpark.

Until Sunday 4 December, Westfield Parramatta will come alive with musical entertainment ranging from a solo accordionist to a bouzouki player, retailer giveaways, roaming ambassadors, kids’ entertainment, and exclusive spend-and-get giveaways for Westfield Plus members.
