Westfield Knox has unveiled the next stage of its $355 million redevelopment. The fashion and lifestyle precinct on level 2 is now open, with 20 brand-new and returning retailers to open across June. The centre also launched a full-sized FIBA grade basketball court, and a nature-inspired outdoor kids play space.
To celebrate the launch, customers experienced live music and roaming entertainment, sporting personality meet and greets, and a ‘Hello Knox’ activation showcasing the latest retailer arrivals with an array of Westfield member giveaways right through to Monday. The basketball court will come alive with basketball competitions, shootouts and giveaways through the Knox Basketball Association across the long weekend.
Westfield Knox Centre Manager, Kristian Nicholls said: “We’re delighted to celebrate with our community as we unveil the new fashion and lifestyle precinct, which from today will see over 20 new stores, including brands like Gorman and Dangerfield arrive at Westfield Knox for the very first time. The opening of these new stores gives our customers a taste of the reimagined Westfield Knox and is just the beginning of the retail evolution we will see come to life across the rest of the year.
“This morning we also launched our full-sized FIBA grade basketball court with Australian basketball personality, Bec Cole who shot the first hoop, and welcomed the Knox Basketball association, Karroo Primary School and Koorie Basketball Academy for the first basketball clinic. Our new, nature-inspired outdoor kids play space is already a hit amongst local families, and we know it will be a welcome addition to the centre.”
Announced today, popular brands JD Sports and General Pants are also set to join the line-up at Westfield Knox, alongside additional large format international brands, soon to be announced. The reimagined and relocated food court will see sought-after national brands Mad Mex, KFC and Subway welcomed.
Once complete, Westfield Knox will span approximately 144,810m2 and feature seven major retail partners and approximately 350 specialty stores.
