Sydney Airport is reinvigorating its luxury retail precinct with the arrival of the most sought-after fashion brands, affirming the airport’s position on the world stage of luxury.

Showcased within a stunning 2,700m2 streetscape, luxury brands including Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Bvlgari, Hermès, Loewe, Moncler, Prada, Rolex and Saint Laurent are now open at Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal marking the first phase of store openings in the new luxury precinct.

Once complete, Sydney Airport’s new luxury precinct will be home to 19 of the world’s leading luxury brands.

Joining Sydney Airport for the very first time are Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Prada and Saint Laurent, with Cartier, Celine, Dior, Gentle Monster, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Valentino and Versace to follow. At the same time, Burberry has unveiled for the first time in Australia its new global store concept.

Premium luxury shopping experience and exclusive products available all under one roof

Heinemann Tax & Duty-Free will also unveil a new beauty, fashion, luxury timepieces and jewellery offer which will complement the new luxury precinct. The new zones will feature an expanded range of luxury and premium brands, some of which are exclusive to Sydney Airport. Heinemann will also introduce a range of activations in the new year that will be exclusive to passengers travelling through Sydney Airport’s T1 International terminal.

Sydney Airport’s Executive General Manager Commercial Mark Zaouk said: “We are excited to unveil the new luxury experience at Sydney Airport featuring the most premium luxury brands in the world. We know that their incredible collections, and the ability to put products aside for in-store collection, will be well received by passengers, delivering a truly unique shopping experience only available at Sydney Airport within Australia.

“International passengers can also look forward to a number of Australian firsts, including Louis Vuitton’s first travel retail store in the southern hemisphere and the brand’s largest stand-alone travel retail store in the world and Gentle Monster’s first store in Australia and New Zealand.”

“I’m delighted to see our revitalised vision for T1 taking shape as we firmly position Sydney Airport on the world stage. And with a further nine luxury brands to launch by mid-2023, I’m looking forward to seeing passengers enjoy the new retail experience as we welcome them back to international travel,” said Zaouk.

Prior to COVID, Sydney Airport welcomed more than 44 million passengers annually, generated more than $42 billion in economic activity (equivalent to nearly 7% of NSW’s Gross State Product), and directly and indirectly supported 336,000 jobs.

Once complete in mid-2023, the precinct will showcase more than 2,700m2 of luxury shopping and Australia’s largest collection of luxury brands in one stunning streetscape. The recently unveiled luxury stores will shortly be joined by Cartier, Celine, Dior, Gentle Monster, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Valentino and Versace.
