As SCN’s Premium Members tuned in to the live stream Panel Discussion on the future of shopping centres, a limited number of guests attended the luncheon at Sydney’s Establishment Ballroom which hosted the discussion.
And what a discussion! A (very) heavyweight panel comprised of Greg Chubb, Retail CEO, Charter Hall; David McNamara, Head of Retail, Lendlease; Michelle Tierney, Chief Operating Officer, SCA Property Group; Peter Huddle, Chief Operating Officer, Vicinity Centres and Stewart Hutcheon, Executive General Manager, Industrial, Retail and Healthcare, Dexus, were moderated by SCCA Chairman and CEO Scentre Group, Peter Allen.
The one-hour discussion on “Shopping Centres ‘post pandemic’. How will they change and what will be different?” covered a variety of topics from sustainability to technology, and from healthcare responsibilities to availability of credit for small businesses. In closing the event, Michael Lloyd, SCN’s publisher, said that the quality of the discussion and the high standard of presentation, reflected the level of expertise inherent in the Australian shopping centre industry – undoubtedly the best in the world.
SCN’s Premium Subscribers across Australia and New Zealand tuned in to the event, joined by others from as far away as Dubai, UK, Canada and China.
