Northland, one of Melbourne’s favourite shopping destinations, has unveiled its brand-new entertainment and leisure precinct, welcoming exciting new offers; The Sporting Globe, X-Golf and Hey Caddy, and Mad Mex.

The new retailers join Northland’s existing offers; HOYTS, Timezone, The Pancake Parlour, Grill’d, PappaRich, Max Brenner, Nando’s, and Betty’s Burgers.

Vicinity, together with its co-owner, The GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund, kicked off the celebrations with a ribbon cutting, followed by a series of activities over a four-day period.

Between Thursday, 20 and Sunday, 23 July, Northland welcomed visitors to the new precinct with a set list of live music acts, including a local Melbourne marching band, acoustic singers and DJs, along with roving entertainment for the kids, balloon twisters, Spin to Win competitions, and kids’ character meet and greets.

Northland’s new entertainment and leisure precinct offers an array of options for visitors to enjoy and indulge in a diverse range of dining experiences.

The precinct introduces the newly built one-stop destination for sports lovers, The Sporting Globe. The opening of its newest location at Northland marks a significant moment as the 20th Sporting Globe venue and 50th establishment under the renowned Signature Hospitality Group, which includes venues like TGI Fridays and Varsity Bar.

James Sinclair, CEO of Signature Hospitality Group, expressed his excitement, reflecting on the significance of reaching the 50th venue milestone.

“As we open the doors of our 50th venue at Northland, we celebrate a remarkable achievement and our commitment to providing exceptional experiences for sports enthusiasts and the local community. Our vision has always been to create vibrant spaces where people can come together and celebrate mateship, indulge in great food, cheer for their favourite teams, and forge lasting memories.”

The Sporting Globe will be open late each night, making it the perfect spot for a catch-up with friends or an easily accessible local dining spot for a family dinner.

Adding a touch of excitement to the precinct is X-Golf, an innovative golf simulator that brings joy to all visitors with varied golf skills, from beginners to seasoned players. With cutting-edge technology, X-Golf is a haven for golf enthusiasts and those looking for a unique entertainment experience.

Northland also welcomes Mad Mex, a popular Mexican food chain renowned for its flavourful and delicious meals. This addition will satisfy the taste buds of visitors with its authentic Mexican flavours.
