Some 130 odd centres submitted sales figures this year; not all Mini Gun centres are listed as some companies, understandably, withheld their stats. What we can say though is that, overall, the ‘Mini Gun’ sector has shown itself to be quite resilient. In many areas, as can be seen, the ‘local’ factor paid dividends; some of the Big Gun centres had large components not trading and many trade area residents confined their shopping trips to Mini Gun centres closer to home.
Looking at the Top 10 MAT table, about half improved on last year’s figure and half dropped but, apart from Burnside Village, the variances were relatively small; generally speaking, that was the scenario across the board.
