On Thursday 25 May, sporting retailer, rebel opened its largest Australian store at Lakeside Joondalup Shopping City in Perth.
Located on level one near JB Hi-Fi, the rebel rCX store offers an elevated in-store experience with the latest in global sporting apparel as well as interactive zones with a football and basketball experience, and state-of-the-art technology with interactive EA gaming such as the ‘World of the Kids’ by FIFA.
Gemma Hannigan, Centre Manager, Lakeside Joondalup, said: “Lakeside Joondalup continues to evolve and we are proud to welcome Australia’s largest rebel rCX store and bring our customers the latest state-of-the-art retail experiences and cater to all their sporting needs in one place.”
The new store features a range of major brands, including Adidas Terrix, PE Nation, Salomon Trail and Frank Green, and will be the first rebel store to exclusively stock The North Face.

Joining the in-store celebrations were Perth-based cricket stars Taneale Peschel and Cooper Connolly. On opening day, the first 85 customers received $85 to spend in 85 minutes in-store. Those who spent $100 on Saturday 27 May, can participate in the Cash Grab game to win free rebel vouchers. Customers were also treated to a full program of celebration activities across the opening weekend, including free face painting.
