ISPT continues its reimagined transformation of Karingal Hub Shopping Centre in Frankston with the launch of its expansive new fashion and lifestyle precinct.
After the successful unveiling of the centre’s vibrant new market-style fresh food experience earlier this year, the new fashion offer which launched in alignment with the reopening of non-essential retail, introduces a host of retailers anchored by the centre’s newest mini-majors TK Maxx, Cotton On Superstore and Pivot.
Joining them in the spacious and architecturally redesigned space are brands including Skechers, Sportsgirl, Bonds Outlet, Rivers, Jay Jays, Rockwear, Sussan and many more much-loved retailers.
Karingal Hub Centre Manager, Catherine Polley, said she was excited to be launching over 40 new stores to celebrate the post-lockdown reopening.
“We are so pleased with how our local community has embraced our revitalised, convenient offering and supported our fresh food precinct retailers – a very welcome result in the current retail climate,” she said.
“The feedback we have received on Karingal Hub’s new look and format from both our existing and new retailers has been incredibly positive.
“The fashion precinct builds on this momentum, providing a broader shopping experience that will later be complemented by a new Town Centre with entertainment, restaurant and dining venues.
“This redevelopment is rapidly advancing Karingal Hub, which has a rich history with the local Frankston and wider Peninsula community – stores like Sussan have been a local favourite here for over 40 years, along with local jeweller Hoskings, which has opened a brand-new store after 15+ years in the centre. The new fashion and lifestyle offer caters for all of our shoppers, giving them everything they need conveniently under one roof,” continued Polley.
ISPT General Manager Retail Services, Sam Curry said the full $160 million redevelopment of Karingal Hub is on track to be fully complete next year.
“Significant effort went into consulting with retailers and the community to create a centre that would become a complete and convenient shopping experience for locals. We have almost completed all construction and couldn’t be more pleased with the positive response from the local community.”
“We are extremely proud of the many milestones we have achieved despite a very challenging retail climate throughout Victoria’s lockdowns, including the refurbishment of the centre, brand new food court, new market-inspired fresh food offering and of course the latest fashion and lifestyle precinct. It’s a great time to be introducing the new addition, which further bolsters the existing comprehensive Karingal Hub offering.”
The staged unveiling of Karingal Hub’s redevelopment will be completed with the launch of the new Town Square, the heartbeat of the centre, providing a day to night communal space for the whole community next year.
Free parking has already been increased to 2,760 with a new multi-deck car park providing an additional 850 spaces, with 40% of all centre parking now undercover.
