QIC’s Robina Town Centre has welcomed the arrival of international sneaker and gym-wear giant JD Sports’ largest Gold Coast store. Complementing the centre’s dynamic fashion mix of internationally-recognised brands, JD Sports will deliver an exciting retail experience for customers and strengthen the existing sportswear and outdoor retail portfolio the centre is renowned for.

Opening its doors to shoppers at 8am, Thursday 12th May, the mega-size store will also become one of the brand’s biggest in Queensland, occupying the tenancy previously held by City Beach – which has now relocated to a contemporary new space opposite Target.

The arrival of JD Sports represents a strong start to the year for Robina Town Centre, with a slew of other openings earmarked for Q2 across fashion, dining, and health and beauty services.

“We are delighted to welcome global, multi-channel sportswear retailer JD Sports to our ever-expanding fashion portfolio here at Robina Town Centre,” said Kathleen Hart, General Manager of Robina Town Centre.

“Satisfying the strong appetite from local buyers for on-trend performance and athleisure apparel, footwear and accessories, the opening of JD Sports’ largest Gold Coast store will undoubtedly resonate with our customer base and we are looking forward to bringing this exciting new retail destination to life.”

The sports fashion and footwear powerhouse – now with more than 40 stores across Australia and over 800 globally – has amassed a legion of fans who seek out the hottest new drops in-store from coveted international brands, such as Nike, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger and Lacoste, as well as exclusive lines available nowhere else, like Pink Soda Sport and Supply & Demand.

A JD Sports spokesperson commented, “We’re extremely excited to open what will be one of our biggest stores in Queensland at Robina. We’ve had regular feedback from our Gold Coast-based customers over the past few years, asking for more and we’ve finally been able to deliver a larger in-store experience, marked with a store opening product assortment that will reward our most loyal and dedicated shoppers.”

Robina Town Centre shoppers will enjoy access to a curated collection of one-of-a-kind pieces and colourways from the world’s biggest sports brands, including limited-edition releases that are renowned for flying off the shelves – from the latest Air Jordan and Yeezy sneakers, to celebrity collaboration lines, such as Beyonce’s Ivy Park.
