In a major coup for South Australia’s only premium outlet shopping destination, Harbour Town Premium Outlets Adelaide has secured highly respected US retail giant TK Maxx, creating 50 local jobs.

TK Maxx has opened its doors, with the centre also welcoming new iconic premium fashion brands Kate Spade and Coach, both unveiling South Australia’s first stand-alone stores, along with popular labels Boss and Guess, coming onboard as well.

Harbour Town Premium Outlets Adelaide is renowned for providing a unique outdoor shopping experience, with 26 new and expanded stores opening at the centre over the past 12 months.

Harbour Town Premium Outlets Adelaide Marketing Manager Tanya Demaria says it has been a busy few months, with consumer and retail confidence in premium outlet shopping very strong. This reflects the centre’s low vacancy rate of less than 0.4% of lettable space.

“We now have the largest Tommy Hilfiger store in Australia which also includes a kids range, after the premium brand upgraded to bigger premises due to customer demand. Calvin Klein has also expanded in size,” Demaria says.

“Premium outlet shopping has become highly desirable, as shoppers can buy their favourite designer brands at year-round prices of up to 70% off,” she says.

“Many of our premium retailers regularly pivot to meet the current retail climate, for example, creating lines targeted at a younger market or introducing more casual, sport and leisurewear.

TK Maxx stocks a range of leading designer products from women’s, men’s, kids, homewares, toys, pet accessories, stationery and gifts

“The whole premium outlet concept has really evolved, with the core focus being on offering leading premium designer brands at affordable prices.

“Outlet is no longer considered a destination for unwanted and damaged stock, it’s all about quality.

“Many premium outlet retailers even design exclusive items for their outlet stores and also stock the latest items that are being sold at full price elsewhere.

“As we continue to welcome back interstate and overseas tourists, shoppers will start to notice additional upgrades to the centre, as part of a new $5.4 million investment including renewed storefronts, landscaping, seating, children’s play areas and improved bathroom facilities.”

Harbour Town Premium Outlets has more than 120 outlet stores, including new premium brands – Kate Spade, Coach, Guess and Boss, along with Under Armour, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Polo Ralph Lauren, adidas, Peter Alexander, Witchery, Review, RM Williams, Mimco, Nine West, Seed and Lorna Jane.

The centre is conveniently located at 727 Tapleys Hill Road, Adelaide Airport – only 15 minutes from Adelaide’s CBD.
