Cbus Property and UniSuper, majority co-owners of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast, have advised of their intention to transfer property management of Pacific Fair and management of AMP Capital Retail Trust (ACRT) to GPT.

Together, UniSuper and Cbus Property own the majority of ACRT, which owns 100% of Pacific Fair and 50% of Macquarie Centre in New South Wales.

GPT’s Chief Executive Officer, Bob Johnston said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Cbus Property and UniSuper to become the manager of ACRT and the property manager of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, one of Australia’s premier retail destinations.”

GPT has also commenced management of UniSuper’s $2.8 billion direct real estate mandate as of 1st September.

Retail assets in the UniSuper portfolio under management by GPT include Karrinyup Shopping Centre in Western Australia, Marrickville Metro and Dapto Mall in New South Wales, and Malvern Central in Victoria.

“We are delighted that UniSuper selected GPT to manage its direct real estate portfolio, taking our retail assets under management to more than $10 billion. The quality and composition of UniSuper’s retail portfolio is highly complementary to GPT’s existing portfolio of regional and super regional retail assets. I’d like to welcome our new team members to GPT and I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming months,” said Johnston.
